Oh, I haven't updated in a long time, I am currently so in love with toomanytights! The tights are so adorable, oh if only I could afford to buy them all. I have just started my tshirt designs! So excited and so happy! Everything is coming together nicely, shopping and opshopping tomorrow for some vintage finds and the final bits and pieces to D.I.Y the tee's.  They will all be up for sale in the coming months, in different sizes, but everything is limited.

The designs will include;

My first few days and nights in Brisbane have been full of bus hopping, kisses on the cheek, hugs, and laughter. And then the more intimate things, like tingling kisses and nights spent awake with a loved one, talking and laughing and being close. I must say, I am happy where I am right now. Even though there are things I would want to change, I am happy. I love being surrounded by people who love me, by people who make me laugh and smile until my face starts to hurt. I love being told how good I look, or how desirable I am. It's always nice to hear such things, after such a long time without it. On the sixth, I caught the bus up to the sunshine coast to see my lovely Cindy. We spent a few hours shopping, talking, laughing and just catching up. I have never taken notice of just how much I depend on her friendship to get me through the rough times, the blue times and even the most happiest of times. I don't think many people realise just how amazing Cynthia Griffen actually is. Deep down, there is the most sweetest, most caring friend, and I don't think many of you take the time to get to know her. Most of you judge her, and that's a blow to you, not to her. I had the best day catching up with her and laughing; It felt like a friendship should feel.

We have a home phone, but usually i use my mobile. Some days I use the home phone, spesh to call work and ring up to book things or pay over the phone, its more reliable then my mobile, just so it doesn't cut out half way through :)


Brisbane tomorrow !! :D

I still haven't packet my suitcase, and I only have tomorrow left! I have all accessories and toiletries packed and ready, but outfits - that's the hard part. I always fear, when ever I am packing to stay over someones house, or travel, that I will leave something I need behind. So, I often over-pack, or fret so much about actually packing that I end up packing multiples. But tomorrow everything will come together and I will be ready to jet off to Brisbane for a few weeks holidays.

in five days, and i'm not even organised! I need to get my suitcase out and clean it and pack it. I need to find all the essentials and go shopping for some toiletries. I need to organise dates to see everyone. I need to do so much in such little time. And most of all I will miss my dearest little sausage dog to bits :( But, I get to see Kris and Danni and her gorgeous baby Amelia-Ruby, and hopefully I will get to see Gianni and cindy and jaime and jess and abbey and all the girls! :)

- brisbane june 2-12 to see Danni and Amelia, staying with Kris
- excited about my birthday in july

- we're getting closer :)
- dying my hair red on the weekend, so excited
- a friend i thought was a true friend betrayed me and is sending threats to ruin my life everytime we fight, which is so low

Hold your own, know your name, go your own way.

I’m really into mini dresses as of late.  I absolutely love mini dresses over tights for the colder months. And a good pair of cute ankle boots. Which reminds me, I really should go shopping for a pair next time I have the chance. I am really looking forward to doing some shopping while I am in Brisbane later this month. However, I do love Sydney’s shopping (and I am one of those people who think Sydney shopping is better than Brisbane shopping) but I just need a change of scenery. I also want to duck up to the mall one day when I am doing a hospital visit, really want to pick up some deep red hair dye to mix in with my chocolate brown (to make a nice warm autumn glow).  

I cannot comprehend how fast time goes sometimes. This morning I went onto Facebook to check any messages/comments regarding my brother and Danni had on her status that her beautiful daughter Amelia-Ruby turns 5months old today. I can’t believe time has gone so quickly. It seems like only weeks ago that I was talking to Danni about her pregnancy and that I bet she can’t wait to give birth and hold her little girl in her arms. And now she’s been holding her in her arms for five whole months! I can’t wait to see them both later this month.

Dave (my brother) went into surgery this morning.  Mum called at 3pm and he was still in there. From what I’ve heard, it’s a fairly complicated surgery. It’s not just a shoulder reconstruction, they actually have to go in and piece his shoulder back together, make him a new one from what they have. At first they wanted to put in a plastic shoulder head, but no one wanted to do that because he is only 21 and with a plastic shoulder head he wouldn’t have full use of his shoulder/arm again. So, once mum calls and tells us how the surgery went, I will have some more information to update with.

*Note; Mum called, Daves surgery was complicated but they fixed his shoulder, he lost 1.5ltres of blood and it took over five hours to do, he seemed really happy and relieved when I talked to him on the phone :)
 

 

People are so easily broken. Everyones asking if i'm okay and I think it's so silly. Paul told me it's because something like this can emotionally hurt a person but that's not the case with me. Him before me. I went to see my brother today, he didn't look so bad. His left shoulder is shattered into five peices, and he broke the top section (above the elbow) of his arm, they were the wrost inuries. I think they also said he broke his collar bone and a bone behind his ribs?. His back and neck are fractured and he has to wear braces for them to heal themselves. Tomorrow he is having his shoulder operated on and pieced back together, so mum and dad are going to go see him after that happens. I'll go up to see him next time and bring him some home made goodies to make his cubicle look more homely. The doctors said 6-8 weeks recovery, for his operation its about 4-6 weeks. So, after tomorrow it's all up hill. The neck and body brace look a tad uncomfortable, but he must do as the doctors say forhis bones to heal as quickly as possible. They reckon he can come home in a week and do home care, which he will love because one day in the hospital and he hates it already. I don't blame him. It's cold, unhomely, and he has a noisy neighbour in the next bed who snores.

Dani and mum have been there for him the most keeping him company and helping him with tasks. He and Dani are still fighting but I know he really appreciates her being there. She's just got to look after herself as well as him. You can tell she really cares about him. She's a good girl.

My brother crashed his motorbike. Fractured a bone in his neck, fractured three bones in his back, broke his colarbone, broke his arm, there is a random floating bone somewhere and if he moves the wrong way it could sever his spinal cord.

And all the dickhead is worried about is ruining mothers day. God, he could have died! He's getting airlifted to a city hospital in thirty minutes and mums staying with him until she has to leave. He's going to be in hospital for a while. Is getting a neck brace and back brace to stop that floating bone and they operate on his broken arm tomorrow.

They don't want to operate on his spine. Neither do i.

I love you, brother. Please be good and listen to the doctors.

I have sort of let this blog die, which is unfortunate, I should try to revive you livejournal.  I am also thinking of starting up a blogspot account, I had one a long time ago.  I will keep you updated. 

 

To start off this update, I will post a booklist;

Books currently read/reading;

 

·         Vampire Academy Books 1, 2, 3; I surprisingly enjoyed this series, it even made me a little teary towards the end. And the 4^th book comes out in August, which I am patiently awaiting, I can’t wait to see what happens between Rose and Dimitri.

·         Gone by Michael Grant; my mum bought me this book because she thought it sounded interesting, for those who haven’t heard of it, it is about a town where everyone over the age of 15 disappears, the kids in the town are there all alone and some of them are gaining weird powers, like one of the main characters can shoot lasers from his hands and another is ridiculously strong and another can be in one room and blink and then be in a different room.  Coyotes have found a demon in a cave which they obey and it gave them the ability to speak to humans.  Another girl can heal herself and heal others.  I found it to be a really interesting book, and there is a sequel coming out in April 2010 called ‘Hunger’

·         Tomorrow Series By John Marsden; I have loved this series ever since the first time I read it in high school and just recently decided to read it again.  Also the ‘Ellie Chronicles’ is really great.

·         The Sookie Stackhouse (southern vampires) series, again I am a HUGE fan of this series and am waiting for the 9^th book to arrive in the mail.  Also the 10^th is so be released next year I am informed

·         Anita Blake series; there is nothing like another vampire series to grasp my attention.  :)

·         Sookie Stackhouse series sub-novels :)

In a few weeks I’m finally making my trip up to QLD for a week or two to see the lovely Danni and Amelia and spend some time with Kris and a few other friends.  When I get back I get to move into my new room, I need to buy some furniture though, maybe a nice lounge, some nice bedding, a wall sticker or two to dress it up a bit.  The beginning of this week, I went into the city and bought some nice new winter clothes, what I really want is a cute black leather look jacket.

I really hope it takes off for her, we have some really good stock and it’s reasonably priced, cheaper then websites like freez.com and all that.  So hopefully it takes off for her.  Fingers crossed. 

Mum and dad are going away for a week just after mothers day, I will be home alone for that week, I’m pretty excited about it, I get to clean out my new room and pack some things up and eat as much ice cream as I like lol.

 

 

I have two; Tuesdays with Morrie and The Time Traveller's Wife.
Both books made me cry.  Both books are incredibly amazing stories.


Speaking about books, mum got me the Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead.  And the series is actually good. I actually like it and haven't been able to stop reading.  I'm on the final book now, the fourth one comes out at the end of this year.  I wasn't expecting much, so it was a nice suprise to find I am actually enjoying the series. :) Thanks mum <3

Oh LJ, I have been neglecting you, and for that I am ever so sorry, We will catch up soon, I promise you. I have so much to tell you.  Highs and Lows.  Ups and Downs.  Highlights and Dissapointments.  Things to look forward to and things i wish would go away and disappear.

I have been absolutely shocking at writing updates as of late. I apologise for that. My week was eventful.  I went on a cleaning frenzy and cleaned out my entire room, which was much needed.  I dyed my hair a pretty reddish gold chocolate brown and cut my fringe shorter and blunter, but still straight.   On saturday Robbie Maddison (google him if you don't know) came down to my house! I know, famous motorbike rider at my house? crazzzy. But it turns out, he is friends with my brothers friend Trent, and so he is friends with my brother and my dad, he is a huuuge fan of robbie maddison, and so he said he would come down and ride with my dad (we have a motorbike track on our property, curtosy of my dad).  He came down with a crew of mates and motorbikes and some guys from mtv were there taking photos and filming and stuff, it was amazing.  He is an incredible moto rider, so talented and so in control.  And he was such a decent, nice, down to earth guy.  Amy was there, his fiance.  She's a nice girl, too.
